A young pharaoh made Egypt into a superpower

The Queen of Levant hatshepsut ruled over Egypt for more than 22 years. After her death she was completely erased from history. It was Thutmose the 3rd who took over the throne after rebellion. There were many people who were against this new young pharaoh. That’s why all of these collaborated and started to rebel against him.

The first ever campaign of the young pharaoh was bringing a lot of pressure upon him. We still find the inscription of all of this propaganda onto the walls of akh menu. Which is a temple of Thutmose the third. He was the young pharaoh who took his man and went to the border of Tjaro.

Event with his men to demolish and face the powerful enemy which was ahead of him. We do not know about the number of soldiers completely but according to some scholars, the soldiers were large in numbers. We do not know if the army went straight from Egypt.

It took a lot of days. Some scholars say that 10 days were taken by the troops to travel all the way from north of Sinai to reach Gaza city. They were coming from the way of the horus. Which means the distance was around 125 miles so the soldiers were travelling for 12.5 miles a day. On the way to Gaza day then marched further from Megiddo to yehem.

That is the point where Farah discussed with his officers so he could check the situation and make decisions if they are going to attack or not. The discussion was also made to determine the route to reach megiddo. Because the route was long so it was really important for them to choose the most suitable travelling route. The northern route was going on the way to Zefty however the southern area went to the taanach.

It was the third route that was the most dangerous because it was going through narrow Aruna pass. All of these details are shown on the descriptions of thutmose the 3rd. You can find all of the descriptions on the temple of Amun-Re in the city of Karnak.

The generals were begging him to not take the third route, but he was determined to take over his enemies by the most dangerous route to tell them that he did not fear anyone. Because he took an oath in front of the Sun God. According to the young pharaoh, he was only going to lead his army From the narrow pass.

After he took siege of the city, it continued for seven months. After that, the city and enemies of the young pharaoh surrendered. Ruler was also captured.
